EBONY SHINES

Ebony Shines is a palomino mare born in 1999 by Shining Spark and out of Ebony Whiz, bred by Bob Loomis. Retired from competition at age six after winning the NRHA Derby Level 2 Open Championship in 2004, she went on to make reining history as a broodmare: in 2018 she became the first mare in NRHA history to achieve Million Dollar Dam status, and in 2016 she was inducted into the NRHA Hall of Fame. Her most distinguished offspring include Shine Chic Shine, an NRHA Three Million Dollar Sire, and Shine N Spook, 2014 NRHA Open Futurity Champion.
